Telangana: Three minors raped, one pregnant; horrific act by 17-year-old student

News Topical, Digital Desk : Police in Telangana's Nagarkurnool on Thursday detained a 17-year-old intermediate student for allegedly raping three minor girls. The accused lured the girls with the promise of love and sexually exploited them. He also impregnated one of them.

Blackmailed by making a video

The accused recorded the videos and used them to blackmail the girls. He threatened to post the videos on social media or send them to their families if they did not pay. This abuse continued for several months in 2025.

When one of the victims could no longer endure the torture, she tearfully told her parents what had happened. A police complaint was subsequently filed. The investigation revealed that the accused had also sexually abused two other minor girls. One of the three victims was from his own college, while the other two were students at other colleges.

Miscarriage of the victim

The accused took the girl he impregnated to a local private hospital for an abortion. Police also arrested the accused's 22-year-old friend, at whose home one of the victims was raped. Two doctors and a nurse were also arrested for allegedly performing illegal abortions.

Police action intensified

Nagarkurnool Superintendent of Police Sangram Singh G. Patil said the case was registered based on three separate complaints. The accused was charged under sections 14, 15, and 3 of the POCSO Act; sections 294 (transmitting obscene digital content), 87 (kidnapping), 77 (voyeurism), 64(1) (rape) of the IPC; and section 67(b) of the IT Act. The accused has been sent to a juvenile home.

DSP Srinivas Yadav said a video of one of the victims was recovered from the accused's phone. Hospital records were also seized. The investigation is ongoing and further leads are being pursued.
