News Topical, Digital Desk : Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi sharply retorted to Sambhal Police Station Officer Kuldeep Kumar's statement about "beating his chest for Iran." He said that the Peace Committee meeting should focus on peace and harmony, and not use threatening language.

Imran Pratapgarhi, countering the Sambhal CO's statement, asked, "The CO should be asked, 'Where should those who cry for Israel go?'" He added, "I believe this is not the language a responsible officer should use. Peace committee meetings should focus on peace and brotherhood, not threats."

Uproar over the statement of Sambhal CO

In fact, a video of Sambhal CO Kuldeep Kumar has surfaced in which he is seen saying during a peace committee meeting held before Eid and the farewell prayers, "Some people are beating their chests in praise of Iran, saying, 'Iran has been killed. If this is so serious, then go back to Iran.' If this conflict affects the law and order situation in our country, we will take appropriate action."

At a meeting of the Sambhal Peace Committee, the CO, referring to the Iran-Israel war, said that a war is currently underway between two countries. Some people in India are unnecessarily irritated. If someone is so attached to another country, they should hop on a plane and go there to support them.

Opposition parties raised objections

The Sambhal CO's statement has sparked a political firestorm. Opposition parties are continuously protesting his statement. AIMIM spokesperson Shadab Chauhan has strongly objected to his statement. He said that the Sambhal CO is, in a way, threatening Muslims. His job is to enforce the law. If someone takes the law into their own hands, action should be taken against them. Has he just opened a travel agency?
