Deteriorating situation in Pakistan
The price of petrol in Pakistan has reached a record high of 458.41 Pakistani rupees per liter. The government had increased the price by 137 rupees on April 3rd. However, in the face of massive public protests, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced an 80 rupee price cut late Friday night. With this, the price of petrol in Pakistan today stands at 378.41 Pakistani rupees per liter after the 80 rupee cut. Similarly, the price of diesel remains at 520.35 rupees, with no reduction. It remains at its highest level ever.
