News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistani Army Major Muiz Abbas Shah was killed in an attack by TTP fighters. Lance Naik Jibran of the Pak Army was also killed in this attack.

Major Muiz Abbas had 'arrested' India's Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman in Pakistan in 2019. This arrest was made when Abhinandan's plane crashed in Pakistan and he was injured. Major Muiz had then made headlines by claiming his arrest, but India had to bow down to Pakistan and sent Wing Commander Abhinandan back safely.  

Major Muiz Abbas Shah belonged to Chakwal in Pakistan and was an officer of the Special Service Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army. After his death, the Pakistani Army has claimed that he was killed during an operation. 11 TTP fighters were also killed in this operation.

Major Shah had 'arrested' Wing Commander Abhinandan

Major Muiz Abbas Shah's name came into the headlines when tensions between India and Pakistan were at their peak after the Balakot airstrike in 2019. During that time, India's Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman was flying a MiG-21 Bison jet. After some technical fault, Abhinandan's plane fell into the Pak border. After this, Major Muiz Abbas Shah arrested Abhinandan in an injured state.
