News Topical, Digital Desk : After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, India retaliated by carrying out precise attacks on 9 terrorist bases located in Pakistan and PoK and destroyed them.
After this, Pakistan tried to attack India through drones and missiles, but the Indian air defense system destroyed all the attacks of Pakistan.
During this period, the big leaders sitting in Pakistan were repeatedly threatening nuclear attack. But now Pakistan's arrogance has vanished and Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif himself has accepted the truth.
Shahbaz Sharif confessed the truth
Recently, Shahbaz Sharif has dismissed fears of a possible nuclear conflict with India. Addressing students in Islamabad, the Pakistani PM said that Pakistan's nuclear program is solely for maintaining peace and protecting its national interests.
He said, "Pakistan's nuclear program is purely for peaceful purposes and national defense and not for aggression." This statement of Shahbaz Sharif came after India's Operation Sindoor.
During Operation Sindoor, India launched a strong military response and attacked nine terrorist hideouts, including Bahawalpur, which is considered a stronghold of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization.
Pakistan's nuclear blackmail game
Let us tell you, after the Pahalgam attack, tensions between the two countries had increased a lot. At that time, Pakistan's Defense Minister had said that the country is on alert, but it will use its nuclear weapons only in dire circumstances. He had said, “We will consider it only if there is a direct threat to our existence.”
The debate on the nuclear issue had escalated further when former Director General of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Javed Ashraf Qazi had issued a stern warning saying that both are nuclear-rich countries and war could lead to nuclear destruction.
Comparing it with the Second World War, Javed Ashraf Qazi said, “Only two bombs were dropped on Japan and its consequences are visible even today. India and Pakistan have more than 170 nuclear bombs each. It is terrifying to even imagine a war with so many bombs.”
PM Modi's clear message to Pakistan
However, it has always been Pakistan's habit that when tensions escalate, Pakistani political and military leaders resort to nuclear threats. On this, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made it clear that Pakistan's nuclear blackmail will no longer work.
PM Modi had said that Pakistan's proxy war will now be considered a war and it will be responded to with full force. He had said that if any terrorist attack takes place from across the border, it will be considered a war against the country.
