News Topical, Digital Desk : The prime accused in the suicide case of a chartered accountant in Mumbai spent Rs 3 crore on online betting and call girls. This also included staying in luxurious hotels. A Mumbai police official said that CA Raj Leela More was a resident of Vakola area.
He committed suicide by consuming poison on July 12. He had accused Rahul Parwani and his girlfriend Saba Qureshi of blackmailing him with a video footage and extorting money from him for the last 18 months.
Three crore rupees were spent on debauchery
During interrogation, Parwani claimed that he spent the three crore rupees collected from More on online betting, call girls and staying in good hotels. The police have not been able to recover the video through which the CA was blackmailed.
The police will send the CA's mobile phone to the Forensic Science Laboratory so that the deleted data can be retrieved. Investigation has revealed that More and Qureshi met on internet media. They had a physical relationship. Parwani and his girlfriend Saba Qureshi knew that More was working in a reputed firm and invested crores in the stock market.
They took away his car. Frustrated with the persistent demands, More transferred the money using his company account. The biggest shock came when Parwani and Qureshi barged into More's house and attacked his mother. A case has been registered against the accused on the basis of a three-page suicide note.
