New Delhi : Eyes are one of the sensitive and important organs of our body. It is impossible to imagine our life without them. In such a situation, it becomes very important to take care of them. However, in today's era of technology, digital overload has become the biggest challenge. It is affecting physical health along with mental health.

Living in a digital world all the time is a great stress on the eyes, with stress, fatigue and lack of focus. This can also lead to computer vision syndrome or digital eye syndrome. It causes headaches, fatigue and blurred vision . To protect your eyes from such digital overload, follow some effective tips-

20–20–20 rule

While doing digital work, take a 20-second break every 20 minutes and look at a distance of about 20 feet. This reduces the constant pressure on the eyes, which will give a break from the screen and give relief to the eyes.

Adjust screen

The top of the screen should be at the level of your eyes. Looking too much by bending or raising your eyes puts pressure on them.

Manage screens

Be it a mobile or a laptop, the light and contrast of all screens can be managed. Keep their brightness level equal to the light around you, so that the light coming from the screen does not put pressure on the eyes.

Workout for the eyes

Stretch your hand and take out your thumb. Rotate your thumb in a big circle and keep looking at it with your eyes. This exercise strengthens 6 eye muscles. By moving your eyes up and down, left and right in every direction, your eyes get a good break from constantly looking at the screen and they get ready to work again.

Lubricate the eyes

Dry eyes weaken the vision and cause blurred vision. Therefore, keep a warm compress on the eyes for some time or you can also try artificial tears after consulting a doctor. Staring at the screen causes the eyes to blink less than normal, which increases the chances of having dry eyes.
