It will clash with Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR's War 2. Its advance booking has been excellent. Although the film will be released tomorrow, many celebrities are tweeting and congratulating Rajinikanth on completing 50 years in the industry. Former actor and current Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Udhayanidhi Stalin also congratulated Thalaivar through Twitter. Stalin said that he has seen Coolie and he praised the film.

The Mamannan actor wrote, “I am extremely happy to congratulate our Superstar rajinikanth Sir on completing 50 glorious years in the film industry. The film is amazing even in advance booking
So far in advance booking, the film has collected Rs 30.21 crore without block seats and Rs 39.57 crore with block seats. It is expected that the film will earn more than Rs 60 crore at the box office in India on the first day.
Hrithik Roshan told teacher
Hrithik Roshan, whose films War 2 and Coolie are releasing simultaneously, also congratulated Rajini sir through a tweet. Hrithik wrote, “I took my first steps as an actor while being with you. You were one of my first teachers, rajinikanth sir, and you will remain an inspiration and a benchmark for me. Congratulations on completing 50 years of on-screen magic!”
Kamal Haasan also congratulated his friend. The actor tweeted, "Completing half a century of cinematic genius, my dear friend Rajinikanth celebrates 50 glorious years in cinema today. I celebrate our superstar with affection and admiration, and wish Coolie a global success on this golden jubilee."
