News Topical, Digital Desk : There is a dialogue in the web series that if we don't want to take risks then what are we doing in this job? This is missing in this series as well. Here the risk is less visible in the working style of the characters. This is what hinders the interest in this series.

Inspired by a true incident, written by authors Gaurav Shukla and Bhavesh Mandalia, this series is based on those anonymous spies who sacrifice everything for the country but do not get any respect.

What is the story of Sare Jahan Se Achcha?

The story is set in the seventies of the last century. In the race to make the atomic bomb between America, Russia and China, Indian scientist Dr. Homi Jahangir Bhabha is also in favour of making it for the security of the country. In an interview, he talks about making India a nuclear power in one and a half years. A few days after that, he dies in a plane crash.

Vishnu Shankar (Pratik Gandhi), an agent of the Indian intelligence agency RAW, fails to prevent this accident because of a few minutes of delay. Meanwhile, RAW chief R N Kao (Rajat Kapoor) finds out that Pakistani President Bhutto (Hemant Kher), who is upset with the defeat in the 1971 war, is secretly preparing to make an atomic bomb.

The responsibility of this mission is given to Murtaza Malik (Sunny Hinduja), the head of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Vishnu is sent to Islamabad under the guise of a diplomat to foil the plans of the Pakistanis. The story is about how Vishnu foils this mission with the help of his agents posted in India and abroad with Pakistan.

These things will bother you after three episodes

The six-episode series Sare Jahaan Se Accha directed by Sumit Purohit also gives a glimpse of the challenges and conflicts of the spies' professional as well as personal lives. This time the Pakistani side is not limited to just meetings or a few dialogues. The tightening grip on Indian spies is also shown through Murtaza. The confrontation between Murtaza and Vishnu is interesting, but there was scope to make it more exciting.

The first three episodes move ahead smoothly and the story also goes to America, Russia, France and other countries, but the problem is that when the two countries are playing a game of checkmate, there is a lack of thrill. Some sub-plots move very fast, but are resolved very easily without any interruption, due to which the story does not seem realistic at times.

Pakistani newspaper editor Fatima ( Kritika Kamra ) seems to be way ahead of her time, but her character lacks depth. Murtaza, who wants to see his mission succeed at any cost, appears helpless in the end. This weakens the climax. Not only this, we don't even know when Murtaza and Vishnu go abroad. The show shows Sukhbir's back story of becoming a RAW agent, not Vishnu's. That should have been told as well. When Fatima goes to meet the Prime Minister, she is checked by a male policeman. This aspect is also disturbing.

These actors emerged in their respective roles

Experienced actors have been cast in the series. Pratik Gandhi's acting in the role of sharp agent Vishnu Shankar is commendable. He lives all the emotions with ease, including his promptness, his efforts to keep the team together, and the dilemma of not being able to tell the truth in his personal life. Sunny Hinduja is also an attraction of the series. He is tough as the ISI chief, but also impresses in scenes with human emotions. His command over Urdu makes the character believable.

Anup Soni has also got a chance to show many shades in the role of a Pakistani army officer. There are some scenes in the part of Suhail Nayyar, who plays Sukhbir aka Rafiq, an Indian agent, where his identity almost gets revealed. The way he does his work while remaining balanced in those emotions full of ups and downs can be easily felt. Tilottama Shome is memorable in the role of Vishnu's wife. Kunal Thakur leaves his mark in a brief role. There is a hint of a second season at the end of the series. It is better that this time it has a tadka of thrill.
