Supply of essential commodities halted

The supply of essential goods to Gaza has been halted since March 2 while thousands of trucks laden with goods are standing at the border. Under international pressure, the Israeli government had allowed some trucks laden with essential goods to pass through Gaza. But protests have started in Israel against the government's decision.

 

People are demanding supply and distribution of essential items in Gaza only after the release of Israeli hostages. In this situation, more than 20 lakh population of Gaza is suffering from hunger and thirst.

 

Firing on a group of diplomats in West Bank

A group of international diplomats on a visit to the West Bank escaped being hit by Israeli army firing on Wednesday. This incident took place in the city of Jenin. There were 20 diplomats from European and Western countries in this group.

 

The team had come to look at the human rights situation in the Israeli-occupied West Bank region. But when the team went to the Palestinian refugee camps in Jenin in the afternoon, the people in it started hearing the sound of firing.

 

A diplomat in the team has said that no member of the team was injured in the firing. Israeli soldiers stationed in the area have said that this incident occurred when the team members deviated from the designated route.
