News Topical, Digital Desk : A five-year-old girl died in Hyderabad on Monday after a kite string got entangled in her throat while she was riding a motorcycle driven by her father. This is the second such incident in Telangana.

Earlier on January 14, a 38-year-old labourer from Uttar Pradesh died in Sangareddy district after a kite string got stuck in his throat.

What did the police say?

According to police, a man and his family had gone to the nearby village of Khajipalli on Monday. While returning home on their motorcycle, their young daughter, who was sitting in the front seat, suddenly started screaming in pain. The man immediately stopped the motorcycle and saw blood flowing from the girl's neck.

Death during treatment

Police said that upon examination, it was discovered that a kite string was entangled around the girl's neck. The parents removed the string and immediately took their daughter to a nearby hospital, where she died during treatment, police said.
