Ramnagar: In Karnataka's Ramnagar district, a deadly attack was made on Ricky Roy, son of former underworld don Muthappa Roy, late last night. The attack took place at 12:30 am on Friday night when Ricky Roy was leaving his farm house in Bidadi for Bengaluru in his car. At the time of the attack, Ricky's driver and a private gunman were present in the car.
Ricky's condition is critical
According to the information, as soon as Ricky came out of the farm house, the attackers sitting in ambush behind a compound wall fired two rounds targeting Ricky's car, one of the bullets hit Ricky who was sitting in the back seat. Ricky's condition is said to be critical. He has been admitted to the hospital.
Ricky had returned from abroad just two days ago
According to the information received so far, Ricky had returned from abroad only two days ago. He stays abroad most of the time. In such a situation, the police suspect that those who attacked him were constantly monitoring Ricky's movements.
Ricky does real estate work
The police also said that unlike his father Muthappa Roy, Ricky has no direct links with the underworld but he was involved in real estate business on a large scale. The FSL team has reached the spot and collected clues. The police have formed a special team and are searching for the attackers.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara told news agency ANI that the concerned police officer has been directed to provide further information. At present, Ricky Rai has not suffered any serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bengaluru. The reason behind the gun attack is not yet known. Police are investigating.
