News Topical, Digital Desk : Chhattisgarh Cabinet Decision: Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The Council of Ministers decided to conduct the Chief Minister's Education Quality Campaign in the state's government schools to improve the educational quality of children under the National Education Policy. 

Under this campaign, special focus will be given on many important points to improve the quality of education, increase parent-teacher participation and promote educational achievements. Guidelines will be issued by the School Education Department regarding the campaign. Under this, schools will be graded on the basis of quality. Regular monitoring of weak schools will be decided through officials of various departments and public representatives. By selecting model schools, teachers of weak schools will be taken on educational tours there. Active participation of parents will be ensured through parent-teacher meetings (PTM). 

Big relief for artists and litterateurs

The Council of Ministers has taken a major decision to provide relief to the financially weak artists and litterateurs in the field of literature and art. In compliance with the announcement made in the Assembly Budget Session, the monthly financial assistance (pension) given to artists has now been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000 per month. For this, the proposal to amend the Financial Assistance Scheme Rule-1986 operated under the Culture Department was approved by the Council of Ministers. This will provide financial support to those artists and litterateurs who are struggling for livelihood.

Let us tell you that this scheme was started in the year 1986, then the minimum assistance amount was fixed at Rs 150 and the maximum at Rs 600. Later in the year 2007 it was increased to Rs 1500 and then in 2012 it was increased to Rs 2000. But there was no increase in the last 12 years. At present, a total of 162 artists in the state are being given this pension. 

At present, every artist is getting an annual pension of Rs 24 thousand, which will increase to Rs 60 thousand after the amendment. This will increase the total annual expenditure from Rs 38.88 lakh to Rs 97.20 lakh, which will put an additional annual burden of Rs 58.32 lakh on the state.
 
The Council of Ministers approved the proposal to amend the Chhattisgarh Industrial Land and Building Management Rules, 2015 with the aim of further accelerating industrial development in the state and making the land allotment process transparent.
 
The Council of Ministers has approved several important amendments in the state's Industrial Development Policy 2024-30 to promote industries and encourage investment in the state of Chhattisgarh. This will make the state's industrial policy more employment-oriented, comprehensive and beneficial for enterprises. The proposed amendment will increase new employment opportunities in the state as well as promote modern farming to the toy industry. 

Youth will get employment - Under the new policy, companies in which people of Chhattisgarh will get jobs will get grants from the government.
Promotion of high-tech farming - Now modern farming like hydroponic and aeroponic will be promoted. Farmers will get the benefit of new technology, such as automation and Internet of Things.
Training and sports facilities for youth - Sports academies and private training centers will be encouraged in the state, which will provide better training and career opportunities to the youth.
Establishment of quality universities will be encouraged. Automobile repairing and service centers will be approved in all development block groups.
Promotion of tourism and hotel business - The minimum limit of investment for building hotels and resorts in Bastar and Surguja divisions has been reduced, which will increase tourism in these areas and local people will get employment.
Double encouragement to textile industry - Now there will be an incentive of up to 200 percent on investing in the textile sector. This will also benefit those doing work like sewing, embroidery and knitting.
Chhattisgarh will become a logistics hub - Now a new logistics policy will be brought to make freight and trade easier in every part of the state. This will benefit traders and access to markets will be easy.
Special benefits to Divyaangjans - The definition of Divyaangjans has been revamped so that they can avail more schemes.
Global Capability Centre, special package to defence and aerospace sector, increase in infrastructure grants for private industrial parks and construction of plug and play factories will be encouraged. 

To promote ease of living in the state, first three units will be included as thrust sectors in the urban areas of the state deprived of private CBSE recognized schools from class 1st to 12th with minimum capacity of 500 students and mini malls with multiplexes and in the area upto 10 km radius from the development block headquarters other than urban areas.
