MLA and Leader of Opposition in Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari said that Chief Minister Mamata called Maha Kumbh as Mrityukumbh and Jai Shri Ram as an abusive word used against her.

 

Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra described Kali as a meat-eating and alcohol-accepting goddess. Bengal minister Firhad Hakim called those who were not born in Islam unfortunate, yet no legal action was taken against them, while Sharmistha was arrested when she commented on the situation after the Pahalgam terror attack.

 

BJP supported the arrested student

Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said that I agree that Sharmishtha has used some inappropriate words in her video, such words are being used by many youth these days. I request the Bengal government not to make the state another North Korea.

 

Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM also condemned

Condemning the double standards of the state police in matters related to religion, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in a post on Twitter said that elected leaders, MPs of Trinamool Congress make fun of Sanatan Dharma. Where is the outrage when our religion is called 'Gandha Dharma'? Where is their apology? Where is their quick arrest? Dutch parliament member and leader of the right-wing Party for Freedom Geert Wilders said that Sharmistha's arrest is an insult to freedom of expression. He requested Prime Minister Modi to intervene in the matter. At the same time, Bar Council of India chairman and Supreme Court senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra has strongly condemned the arrest of law student Sharmistha Panoli. He demanded Sharmistha's immediate release and a fair trial.
