Add the 'right' carbohydrates to your plate

Often we eat things in lunch that give us instant energy, but also make us tired just as quickly. The reason for this is simple carbohydrates. White rice, refined flour products (such as noodles, bread) and sweet drinks are digested very quickly, which causes blood sugar to rise and fall rapidly. This fluctuation leads to lethargy.

Instead, include complex carbohydrates in your diet. They are rich in fiber and are digested slowly, helping to keep energy levels stable.

15-20 minutes walk after eating

Sitting on a chair or lying down immediately after eating is like inviting laziness. Experts recommend taking a light walk for at least 15-20 minutes after lunch. This not only improves your digestion but   also increases blood circulation .

Light walking improves the flow of oxygen in your body, which makes you feel fresh and active. Use the stairs instead of the elevator or take a short walk in your office premises.

Drink buttermilk with or after meals

Buttermilk is a great drink that is very effective in getting rid of the post-lunch sluggishness. Buttermilk not only keeps the stomach light but also contains probiotics that   help in digestion .

It keeps your body hydrated and the properties present in it make you feel energetic. You can drink a glass of plain buttermilk with food or immediately after eating. Make sure not to add too much spices or salt to it, so that it can do its job properly.
