Years later, Radha met Raj Kapoor at an international film festival in Delhi, and he reminded her of the incident. Radha was in Mumbai when producer Kewal Kashyap offered her her first film, Chori Chori. In 1971, she appeared in Do Raah, also starring Anil Dhawan and Shatrughan Sinha. That same year, Radha Saluja appeared opposite Mehmood in the film Lakhon Mein Ek. Radha also briefly worked with Telugu superstar NTR.

After a brief stint in films, she moved to Los Angeles, where she married Shamim Zaidi, an ethnic radio host. There, Radha began singing with two music groups that performed throughout the United States. While in the United States, she joined the Federal Law Service as a special interpreter for Asian languages at a Los Angeles court.
