Ban on commercial gas during wedding season creates panic
The wedding season is in full swing in the district, but the disruption in the supply of commercial gas cylinders has created a significant crisis. Households hosting weddings are struggling to prepare food. Hotel owners, marriage home operators, and sweet shop owners are extremely worried due to the lack of commercial cylinders. Many hotel and restaurant owners fear their businesses will close.
What does the administration say? (Statement by the District Logistics Officer)
Bharatpur District Logistics Officer (DSO) Pawan Agarwal clarified the situation on this entire issue and said that the gas companies are continuously supplying the gas, but due to the fear of gas running out, people are rushing to buy cylinders in advance, due to which this situation of artificial shortage (Panic Buying) has arisen.
Regarding the ban on commercial cylinders, he said the department has not yet received any official written orders from the government. However, he acknowledged that if commercial gas supplies are not available, hotels, wedding homes, and sweet shops will face significant difficulties.
