News Topical, Digital Desk : A horrifying incident has occurred in Darbhanga, where a six-year-old girl was raped and then murdered. The girl's neighbor, Vikas Mahato, committed the crime and fled. However, the accused was later arrested.

This entire incident is of Patwa Pokhar under Darbhanga University Police Station, where the girl was missing since late night evening and the family members were continuously searching for her. When the girl was not found, the family members started searching for her. When the stray dogs started barking, the family members got suspicious and ran towards that side. Then they saw that the girl was lying unconscious on the ground, covered in blood, on the other side of the wall on the bank of the pond and she was dead.

After this, the family members started shouting and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the University Police Station in-charge arrived at the scene with the police force. Darbhanga SSP Jagannath Reddy also arrived at the scene, along with police from several police stations, along with FSL and cyber cell teams, and began investigating.

During the investigation, it was discovered that three girls, all 6 and 7 years old, were playing together near a pond. The accused grabbed one of the girls, took her into the dark, raped her, and then murdered her before fleeing.

When the incident was discussed, the girls said they recognized him. After the police showed his face on CCTV, they identified Vikas Mahto as the perpetrator. The police immediately arrested him from his home. The accused's clothes also bore blood stains and the police took him away.

The SSC stated that the body of a six-year-old girl has been found and they are investigating. Meanwhile, the family members stated that Vikas Mahto raped and murdered their six-year-old child.
