New Delhi: (Al Qaeda-Kahlistani Terrorist Poster Released)  Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations in the national capital, the Delhi Police has beefed up security and put up posters of various terrorists linked to Al Qaeda and Khalistan. These posters have been put up by the police across the city.

Names of informers will be kept secret: Delhi Police

People have also been encouraged to help catch terrorists. Delhi Police said that those who provide any information about terrorists will be given a 'suitable' reward. However, the names of the informers will be kept secret.

Police (Delhi Police) said that the security measure has been taken to increase awareness among people and help the police keep an eye on terrorists. Sub-inspector Komal Shakya, who is the officer-in-charge of the Khan Market Mahila Police Booth, said that this is being done to create awareness among citizens.

Punjab police also conducted a search operation

According to the police, the posters mention fifteen terrorists, six of whom are linked to al-Qaeda. Ahead of Independence Day, Punjab Police also took strict security measures by conducting random searches at all bus stands across the state on Tuesday to ensure the safety of the country.

CASO, organised on the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, was conducted simultaneously in all 28 police districts from 1 pm to 3 pm. Under this, police teams with the help of sniffer dogs searched people arriving and departing at bus stands.

Special Director General of Police (Special DGP) Law & Order Arpit Shukla, who was personally monitoring this state-wide operation, said all Commissioners of Police/Senior Superintendents of Police (CP/SSPs) were asked to ensure proper cordon and thorough search of all bus stands in their respective districts by maximum number of police teams under the supervision of SP rank officers to make this operation a success.

Delhi Police has also busted the illegal sale of Chinese Manjha in the national capital ahead of Independence Day. On Monday, the police seized a huge quantity of Chinese Manjha from a house in Fayaz Ganj in Azad Market area. One person was arrested during the raid.
