The morning and evening weather is still slightly better, but the sun is shining brightly during the day, making it extremely hot. The heat has made it difficult for people to leave their homes. In several districts, including Banda, Prayagraj, and Jhansi, the mercury has reached 40 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will rise rapidly in the coming days.
The heat has begun to show its effect in Uttar Pradesh. The weather will remain dry in both the western and eastern divisions of the state on Tuesday, April 14th, with no clouds or rain expected. The skies will be clear and the sun will shine brightly throughout the day in all districts, including Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Agra, and Meerut. The Meteorological Department has predicted hot winds blowing at speeds of 20-25 km/h today.
Heat wave begins in UP
According to the Meteorological Department, all 75 areas of the state will remain in the green zone today. The weather in the capital, Lucknow, is also dry. The skies have been clear since morning, but people will face the scorching sun throughout the day. The maximum temperature in Lucknow is expected to be around 39 degrees. The heat has also begun to rise rapidly in Noida, Ghaziabad , and Meerut, adjacent to Delhi.
Today the mercury may cross 40
Along with the scorching sun, hot winds are also troubling people in Uttar Pradesh. A heat wave warning has been issued for 20 districts in the state today. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury could exceed 40 degrees Celsius in several districts, including Noida , Ghaziabad, Agra, Jhansi, Banda, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, and Jaunpur.
Prayagraj was the hottest district in the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature here reached 39.8 degrees Celsius. Varanasi, while Sultanpur, Ghazipur, and Jhansi recorded 39.3 degrees Celsius, making them the hottest districts in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature will increase by 4-6 degrees Celsius over the next 5-6 days. This means the mercury could reach 44 degrees Celsius this week. The minimum temperature will increase by 3-5 degrees.
