News Topical, Digital Desk : The Samajwadi Party's national president has made a significant claim regarding the Women's Reservation Amendment Bill. Speaking to reporters in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, the SP chief claimed that the government has no intention of providing reservations.

Speaking to reporters, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “We all want women's reservations, that women should have their rights. Those who have studied the history of women's voting know how much they had to struggle to cast their votes. The question is, why the hurry?”

He asked, "What work have you done for the safety and empowerment of women? Our suggestions should be considered. How will you create constituencies until the census is conducted? Which constituencies will they contest from? Delimitation occurs after the census is completed." He accused the government of wanting to operate according to its own will, not the Constitution.

Akhilesh said that the government has no intention of providing reservations. They haven't even created constituencies for women to contest elections, yet they are preparing for reservations. A census and delimitation are required to determine the seats.

Akhilesh also said that when the Bharatiya Janata Party was founded, they didn't have any socialist leaders, so they had to bring Jayaprakash ji to the stage. Only after the SP and BSP defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party did they bring Baba Saheb to the stage. The Kannauj MP said that the more we work to foster love, brotherhood, and prosperity among ourselves, the stronger our democracy will become. There's no place for a single system in democracy. The country should run under Baba Saheb's Constitution, not according to whims.
