She was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday after suffering from extreme fatigue and a chest infection, where the "Queen of Melody" breathed her last at the age of 92.

Renowned singer Asha Bhosle was cremated with full state honours on Monday. Her 24-year-old granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, was devastated after Asha's demise. She shared her grandmother's last photo on social media, expressing her grief.

Sharing the last photo of her grandmother, Janai Bhosale wrote a heartbreaking caption on Instagram. Janai wrote, "I'm experiencing a lot of emotions right now. I will when I'm able to write something. But I just want to say that I'm overwhelmed by the respect and especially the immense love people have shown her today."

She further wrote in her post, "I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. She deserved this honour. Today I realise that she is within all of us... always alive in our hearts and she is watching all this from above."

Janai wept bitterly at the funeral

On Monday, Asha Bhosle's son, Anand Bhosle, performed her last rites with full state honours at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Several videos of the funeral have surfaced on social media, capturing extremely emotional moments. In one such video, Asha Tai's granddaughter, Janai Bhosle, was unable to control herself upon seeing her grandmother's body and burst into tears, where Ranveer Singh hugged and consoled her.

Recently, when rumors of Asha Bhosle's hospitalization and cardiac arrest surfaced, it was Janhvi Bhosle who provided a health update on her through an official post on social media. She clarified that the singer was admitted due to breathing problems and a chest infection. However, despite all efforts, the music legend could not be saved.
