Any person can easily get this account. To open an account, the customer has to fulfill the KYC conditions. To fulfill the KYC conditions, you must have a PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.

The facility of Joint Saving Account is also available in this account. For example, both husband and wife can open this joint account. You must have all the necessary documents to open the account.

Benefits of SBI Zero Balance Account

In this, you do not need to maintain a minimum balance in the account. Even if the balance is low, you do not have to pay any penalty.

You can keep a maximum amount in your account. There is no limit on the maximum balance in the bank.

In this account, the account holder gets the facility of passbook, basic Rupee ATM-cum-debit card, mobile and internet banking. Please note that free chequebook is not available in this.

Like a normal bank account, you can withdraw money using your Aadhaar card. Apart from this, there is also a facility to make payment through UPI.

If the account holder closes the account, then he will not have to pay any charge. This means that there is no need to pay account closing fees.

You can open a zero balance account only if you do not have another savings account. If you already have a savings account, but you want to open a zero balance account, then you will have to close the savings account within 30 days.
