News Topical, Digital Desk : The TDB has said that it will file an affidavit in the Supreme Court to defend the existing traditions regarding the entry of women of reproductive age into the Sabarimala temple. Board Chairman K. Jayakumar said that it was unanimously decided in the meeting that the demand for continuation of the current practice will be placed before the court and the board will clarify its stand before March 14. The board reiterated its disapproval of the 2018 decision that allowed women of reproductive age to enter.

However, whether to review the decision is a matter for the court. Meanwhile, the Kollam Vigilance Court rejected the bail application of a former TDB member in the alleged Sabarimala gold theft case. He is accused in two cases related to the alleged loss of gold from the Dwarapalaka statues and the doorframe of the Sreekovil. The court rejected his bail application on medical grounds.
