News Topical, Digital Desk : CBP officers have arrested Indian Vishal Kumar at the US-Canada border. Vishal was wanted in India for murder. He was attempting to flee under a false name but was caught during biometric checks and denied entry into Canada.

In fact, 22-year-old Indian citizen Vishal Kumar was apprehended by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Biometric checks revealed that he was fleeing under a fake name and date of birth. Vishal entered the US illegally in 2024. He is now being held in a federal prison in New York and will soon be extradited to India.

Arrested on November 16

Vishal Kumar was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Port of Buffalo, Peace Bridge border crossing, on November 16th while he was about to enter Canada. According to CBP, Vishal has an Interpol red notice against him and is wanted by law enforcement agencies in India for murder.

Vishal Kumar was processed by CBP officers and handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Enforcement Removal Operations (ICE/ERO) officials. A CBP official stated that he is being held at the federal prison in Batavia, New York. Extradition proceedings are underway for him from the United States to India.

Went to America illegally in 2024

Vishal Kumar entered the United States illegally in 2024 and failed to appear for an asylum interview. He concealed his identity during inspections and was attempting to flee to Canada when he was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Peace Bridge border crossing.

Biometric technology confirmed his true identity, revealing that he had used a false name and date of birth. The investigation also revealed that he was wanted in India for murder, as per an Interpol Red Notice.
