News Topical, Digital Desk : In a shocking incident in Kerala, a 16-year-old boy's mother and stepfather have been accused of inciting him to join ISIS. In their FIR, police have described the boy's mother as an active participant in the attempt to radicalize her son.
The teen's mother was working with a UK-based ISIS supporter. Reports indicate that the minor was allegedly exposed to ISIS propaganda, indoctrinated to hate other religions, and encouraged to adopt the terrorist group's ideology.
Two named in FIR under UAPA
The FIR filed under the UAPA names two main accused. The first accused has been identified as Anzar, while the second accused is his mother, Fida Mohammed Ali. Anzar is currently living in Leicester, United Kingdom. Investigating officials said Anzar allegedly showed the teenager ISIS murder videos on his laptop and attempted to radicalize him by portraying the terrorist group's ideology as the highest path to Islam.
Mother accused of making son a terrorist
The second accused is the boy's mother. She allegedly worked in collaboration with Anzar. Police sources say it is believed that the two individuals together influenced, guided, and attempted to radicalize the minor.
Kerala police believe this case may be linked to a wider network. According to sources, initial indications indicate that covert elements linked to the terrorist group may be active in parts of the state. The National Investigation Agency has launched a preliminary investigation into the matter.
