The US President was given a red carpet welcome at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport. Israeli President Isaac Herzog and his wife Michal Herzog, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu were among those present at the airport to welcome the US President.

The Ben Gurion Airport control tower reportedly welcomed Air Force One and delivered a message thanking Trump for his friendship and the unbreakable bond between our two countries. The message read, "On behalf of Israeli officials, welcome to the State of Israel, Mr. President. Your visit holds profound meaning for the people of this time. Thank you for your friendship and the unbreakable bond between our countries. God bless the United States and Israel."

Trump to be awarded Israel's highest honor

US President Donald Trump will be honored with Israel's highest civilian honor, according to Israeli President Isaac Herzog's office. After completing his visit to Israel, the US president will depart for Egypt, where he will hold talks with leaders of other countries regarding peace in Gaza.

Trump to meet with families of hostages

The US president has departed from Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport, Rapid Response reported. After a roughly 40-minute drive, he will arrive in Jerusalem, where he will meet with hostage families and deliver a speech to a special session of the Knesset.

Hamas releases seven hostages

Meanwhile, the Israeli military has confirmed that seven of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza have been handed over to the Red Cross. They are being safely transported to Israeli territory. This release of the hostages marks a major breakthrough in the two-year-long conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Peace agreement between Israel and Hamas

It is noteworthy that this follows a ceasefire and exchange agreement brokered internationally by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States. Reports indicate that the seven hostages handed over include Gali and Ziv Berman, Matan Angrust, Alon Ohel, Omri Meiran, Eitan Mor, and Guy Gilboa-Dalal.
