Uttarakhand Dengue: The outbreak of dengue is increasing rapidly in Uttarakhand, according to the report, a total of 75 cases have been reported so far in five districts of the state. Pauri district has the highest number of 59 dengue patients, while Dehradun has 9, Haridwar and Nainital have 3 each, and Udham Singh Nagar has 1 case. Concerns over the state's health services grew when a dengue patient died in Rishikesh. However, the patient already had many other diseases, due to which the health department has decided to conduct a death audit to get accurate information about the cause of death.

In view of the increase in dengue cases, the state health department has instructed the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of all districts to remain alert. Also, guidelines have been issued for prevention and protection measures against dengue. Dengue cases are being regularly monitored at the Directorate General of Health level, so that the infection can be controlled as soon as possible.

Instructions to implement measures to prevent dengue
Experts believe that there is a possibility of spread of dengue infection till November and December. Although the number of cases registered from April to 17 September this year is less than last year, yet vigilance regarding infection is necessary.

Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that CMOs of all districts have been instructed to implement dengue prevention measures. Apart from this, the Directorate General of Health has also been asked to regularly monitor dengue cases. He has urged people to take special precautions for the next two months and follow all dengue prevention measures, so that infection can be prevented.
