BSE and NSE will decide on opening the market

BSE and NSE will take a decision after calculating the advantages and disadvantages of opening the market on the budget day. If the stock market opens on the budget day on Saturday, February 1, then its timing can be as per the normal time. Under this, normal trading can take place in the stock market from 9.15 am to 3.30 pm. Apart from this, a pre-opening session from 9 am to 9.15 am will also be organized as it happens on normal days.

For this reason, the stock market was open on Saturday, 1 February 2020. Similarly, 28 February 2015 was also a Saturday and due to it being the day of presenting the budget, the stock market was open on Saturday. This was the time when the day of presenting the budget used to be the last day of February.
