UGC NET NEET Row:  The controversy over irregularities in NEET  and NET exams is not stopping. Today, a 7-member committee of the central government will hold a high-level meeting to monitor transparency and the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA). This information has come from a source in the Ministry of Education. Many issues will be discussed in this meeting.

To ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examinations through NTA, the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education constituted a high level meeting of experts.

The committee is headed by the former head of ISRO

The 7-member committee is headed by former ISRO chief Dr K Radhakrishnan and includes Dr Randeep Guleria, Professor BJ Rao, Professor Ramamurthy K, Pankaj Bansal, Aditya Mittal, Govind Jaiswal. 

The committee will discuss the fair functioning of NTA to effectively implement the suggested reforms. The meeting will focus on issues such as clear roles and better responsibility for personnel at every level. The committee has to submit its report within two months. The reforms that will be discussed will be implemented in the next examination cycle.

There will be a discussion on the strength of the system

Also, the committee will have to examine the existing security protocols related to setting the paper and other processes during the examinations. Along with this, the committee will have to make recommendations to increase the robustness of the system.
