In Delhi, a person conspired to steal a truck filled with copper scrap worth about Rs 50 lakh. He had handed over that truck to another person for Rs 12 lakh. For this, an agreement of Rs 12 lakh was made between the two. He also lodged a fake FIR of truck theft, but when the police became suspicious of him and as the investigation progressed, the suspicion of the police increased and after that, the police arrested the driver of the truck. 

According to the police, Mukesh (42) planned the theft of his truck with Bablu in exchange for an amount of Rs 12 lakh. He filed a report regarding the theft on April 19, alleging that his truck was stolen from a parking lot in Hamidpur village, Alipore.  

The driver himself deleted the call details

According to news agency PTI, DCP Sanjay Kumar Sen said that during the investigation, the police became suspicious of Mukesh's activities and statements. Police said that the investigation revealed that Mukesh himself deleted the call logs on his phone and found ways to file a fake FIR on the day of the incident.  

Fraud done for cricket betting

Sanjay Kumar Sen said, "During interrogation, Mukesh, who worked as a truck driver, confessed that his motive behind the fraud was to earn easy money for online cricket betting. After this, he was arrested." 

The driver had received Rs 9.50 lakh 

Mukesh told the police that on April 18, he had parked the truck in Sonu's parking lot and later in the night Bablu ran away with the vehicle. Bablu had also paid Mukesh Rs 9.50 lakh out of 12, out of which Mukesh had also spent Rs 50 thousand. Police said that the remaining Rs 9 lakh has been seized from him and further action is underway.
