The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has received a bomb threat. This threatening email was received on the official website of RBI on Thursday afternoon. The email contained a bomb threat to the Reserve Bank in Russian language. In this case, a case has been registered against an unknown accused at Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police have started an investigation.
There was a threat last month as well
Let us tell you that this is not the first time that RBI has been threatened with a bomb blast. Earlier last month, a call was made to the customer care number of the Reserve Bank of India and threats were made to blow up the RBI with a bomb. The caller had introduced himself as the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
In the last few days, we have been receiving a lot of such threats. Sometimes we are receiving threats of bombing airports and sometimes schools. Most of these calls are found to be fake after investigation.
Bomb threat to Delhi schools
Three schools in the capital Delhi received a bomb threat mail on Friday morning, after which various agencies started searching the school premises. Earlier on December 9, at least 44 schools in Delhi had received similar emails. After a thorough investigation, the police had called those threats a rumour.
"We received calls (regarding threatening emails) from Bhatnagar International School in Paschim Vihar at 4.21 am, Cambridge School in Shri Niwas Puri at 6.23 am and DPS in East of Kailash at 6.35 am," a Delhi Fire Services official said. Fire brigade, police and bomb disposal squads along with dog squads have reached the schools and are investigating, he said. School authorities have sent messages to parents urging them not to send their children to school. A police official said the matter is under investigation.
