The NRIs living in various countries are also angry about the ongoing atrocities against Hindus and other minority community people in Bangladesh. NRIs in more than 100 countries are demanding to stop the ongoing violence against minorities in Bangladesh and protect the human rights of Hindus through demonstrations, prayer meetings and memorandums.

NRIs intensified the campaign

They are telling the society and governments about the gravity of the situation so that international pressure can be mounted on the interim government in Bangladesh which has become a puppet of the fundamentalists and the rights of the minorities can be restored there. According to information, protests and awareness campaigns by the expatriate Indians are intensifying in other countries including America, Britain, Canada, Germany, Australia, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.

Preparations for a big demonstration in America

This campaign will continue till Bangladesh Liberation Day on 16 December. On that day, with the help of India, Bangladesh separated from Pakistan and became an independent country in 1971. On Monday, 9 December, on the occasion of International Genocide Day, preparations are on to hold a big demonstration at Capitol Hill in America. In this campaign being run on foreign soil, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh and VHP are joined by other Hindu religious, social and cultural organizations across the country. Politicians, public representatives and entrepreneurs of Hindu origin have also come together.

Pressure is also being put on the United Nations

Efforts are being made to pressurize countries like the US and Britain that provide economic aid to Bangladesh to provide economic aid only when the rights of minorities including Hindus are ensured there. The NRIs are also continuously pressurizing the United Nations and international human rights organizations to intervene in the matter.

International boycott of Bangladeshi products

The campaign to boycott Bangladeshi products is also gaining momentum. Especially the garments of many international companies are manufactured in Bangladesh. International companies are being requested not to import products from there because they are stained with the blood of Hindus. Similarly, names of many brands are being mentioned on the internet media and requests are being made to boycott them.
