Navratri is celebrated four times a year, out of which two are Gupt Navratri and two are celebrated as Prakat Navratri. Prakat Navratri comes in Ashwin and Chaitra month. Sharadiya Navratri coming in Ashwin month is given special importance, because many devotees do Kanya Pujan on both these dates. During this period of nine days, nine forms of Maa Durga are specially worshiped.

Auspicious time for Ghat establishment (Ghatasthapana Muhurta)

 

According to the Hindu calendar, the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month is on October 03, 2024 at 12:18 pm. Also, this date is going to end on October 04 at 02:58 pm. In such a situation, according to the Udaya date, Sharadiya Navratri will start from Thursday, October 03. There is a law of Ghat establishment on the first day of Navratri. In such a situation, the auspicious time of Ghat establishment is going to be something like this -

Ghatasthapana Muhurta - from 06:15 am to 07:22 am

 

Ghatasthapana Abhijeet Muhurta - from 11:46 am to 12:33 pm

 

Ashtami and Navami fast will be observed on this day (When is Ashtami and Maha Navami)

Ashtami Tithi is starting on October 10 at 07:29 am. This Tithi will end on October 11 at 06:52 am. After this, Navami Tithi will start, which will last till 05:47 am on October 12. This time Saptami and Ashtami Tithi are falling on the same day, in such a situation, observing Ashtami fast is not considered auspicious. In such a situation, this time Ashtami and Navami fast will be observed on the same day i.e. Friday, October 11.
