Three days ago, the son-in-law attacked his mother-in-law, 55-year-old Shyambai, due to which she died during treatment. This incident happened on the evening of 10 August, when Shyambai was returning after seeing the Kajli fair.
Meanwhile, his son-in-law Jalam Raikwar suddenly attacked him with a knife. The neighbours and family members took him to the district hospital in a critical condition, from where he was referred to a higher centre. Unfortunately, he died during treatment.
What did the deceased's daughter say?
The deceased's daughter Sunita said that a case of fraud, divorce and maintenance is going on against her husband. While living in Delhi, her husband had withdrawn Rs 10 lakh earned by labour from her account. The dispute over this matter increased and Sunita went to her maternal home.
Their case is going on in the court for the last one year. Sunita told that her husband Jalam Raikwar has beaten her and her in-laws in the past and has been threatening to kill them.
The deceased's daughter made allegations against the police
Despite this, she complained several times to the police station and the concerned officials, but the police did not take any action, calling it a family dispute. Sunita has accused the police of not taking action in time.
She says that if strict action had been taken against her husband in time, perhaps her mother would not have been murdered. This murder of relatives has created a sensation in the area and the entire family is in mourning.
Police started the operation to arrest
Taking the matter seriously, the police have intensified the search for the accused son-in-law. Also, the investigation process is going on and all necessary steps are being taken to arrest the accused soon.
Regarding this case, Additional Superintendent of Police Vandana Singh said that the son-in-law had injured the woman and a case was registered. The woman has died. The accused is being searched for.
However, the family is deeply saddened by Shyambai's death. People are expressing concern and anger over this incident. The family members say that they want justice and the culprit of this heinous crime should be punished.
