Kamakhya Express derailed in Cuttack district of Odisha on Sunday. One person died in this accident while 8 people were injured. This information was given by the DM of Cuttack. The accident is being investigated. This train was going from Bengaluru to Kamakhya. 11 coaches of the train derailed at Nirgundi near Manguli. 

As soon as the news of the accident was received, a relief train along with the NDRF was sent to the spot. Railway and administration officials reached the spot and relief work was started. Also, necessary arrangements are being made to send the stranded passengers to their destination. After this accident, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said that his office is in touch with the Odisha government after the train accident in Odisha. Sharma said in a post on 'X', "I am aware of the incident related to 12551 Kamakhya Express in Odisha. Assam Chief Minister's Office is in touch with the Odisha government and the railways. We will contact every person affected."
