News Topical, Digital Desk : To keep people safe from cyber fraud, the police recently launched a campaign to make people aware. The effect of this police campaign is being seen in many cases. When people call, they are now answering the fraudsters in their own language. But still people are not fully aware in this regard.

It is certain that after being cheated, people are immediately calling 1930, which also helps them recover their money. A new case of cyber fraud has come to light in Khalwa police station area.

How did the fraud happen?

On the pretext of updating the State Bank of India's (SBI) Yono App, thugs duped a teacher of Rs 50,000. The teacher has lodged a complaint at Khalwa police station. Teacher Jagdish Bansal said that a link came on my internet media group, on which it was written State Bank of India, update your Yono. I thought I had to update Yono, I opened the link in which they asked for my name and account number, I entered it.

Money deducted as soon as you enter the password

According to Jagdish Bansal,

After filling everything, it asked for the password. I remembered the password so I entered it. As soon as I entered the password, a captcha came. I thought if I enter the captcha, my YONO will get updated. After some time, I got a message of Rs 50,000.

Message sent to relatives by hacking phone

Jagdish Bansal said, "I thought that I don't know where this message is from, after reading the message I checked my account. My 50 thousand rupees had been deducted. Then I became active and called 1930. They hacked my mobile as well, hacked my internet media account. Messages are being sent to my relatives. I have complained about this at Khalwa police station. I have appealed to the relatives that if anyone gets any message from my number, they should not pay attention to it.
