The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning, saying there will be relief from the heatwave and intense heat. Temperatures may drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the Meteorological Department issued a warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in 45 districts of the state, including Lucknow.

It will rain in these states

According to IMD, there is a danger of dust storm at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour along with light rain, lightning and hailstorm in many states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Bihar.

Due to the effect of western disturbance, there is a possibility of thunder, rain and snowfall in the higher areas of the hilly states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

There will be stormy winds and rain in Bengal-Jharkhand.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMD), a weakened cyclonic circulation over South India could bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to five states until April 30. Heavy rain is expected in Rayalaseema, parts of Maharashtra, and the Western Ghats. Northeast India, West Bengal, and Jharkhand will experience thunderstorms, strong winds, and rain. However, heatwaves may persist in some areas.

Amidst the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, the weather suddenly changed and rain along with storm started in many districts, which brought great relief to the people.

Yellow alert issued in 50 districts of UP

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in about 50 districts. These include Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Ballia, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Bahraich, Sitapur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Moradabad, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, and several other districts, with the possibility of strong dust storms, rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms.

There will be rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in these districts of Bihar.

Inclement weather wreaked havoc in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on Wednesday. Dust storms, rain, hailstorms, and lightning killed 13 people in Uttar Pradesh and injured 12.

Four people, including three women, died in Bihar. In Uttar Pradesh, the Awadh region was the hardest hit. The Meteorological Department issued a warning for 45 districts, including Lucknow, on Thursday, warning of thunderstorms and strong winds.

Damage caused by storm, rain and hailstorm in Bihar

Storms, rain, and hailstorms that hit various parts of Bihar on Wednesday evening caused significant damage to maize, mango, litchi, and vegetable crops. Approximately 7,000 hectares of mango crops were affected in Madhubani. Four people, including three women, were killed in various incidents in Patna, Madhubani, and Saran districts.
