News Topical, Digital Desk : Former Himachal Pradesh CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday (July 28) . Jairam Thakur met the PM and apprised him of the damage caused in the disaster-affected areas of Himachal Pradesh. 

The Prime Minister took detailed information about the damage caused by the disaster and assured all possible support in reconstruction and rehabilitation in the disaster-affected areas.

Urged to give concession in forest conservation law

Jairam Thakur said that we told the Prime Minister that in this disaster not only people's houses but also their lands were washed away and now they do not even have space to build houses. In such a situation, we requested for concession in 'Forest Conservation Act' to give them land. Along with this, we requested for 'area specific' relief package for rehabilitation and reconstruction.

Thanked PM for all possible help

The Prime Minister was also requested to study the causes of the frequent natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh. So that losses in future can be prevented. The Prime Minister was also thanked for providing all possible support in relief and rescue operations during the disaster.
