Naxalites are on the backfoot due to the increasing operations of security forces in the entire Abujhmad and Dandakaranya. Naxalites themselves are also accepting this. This is also confirmed by the note prepared by the Politburo of Naxalites found in Gadchiroli of Maharashtra. In the note, the Politburo has stated that the Naxal movement is going through the most difficult time and the need to keep the party activities as confidential as possible.

Even the big leaders and cadres have been advised to keep a low profile and wait for the right time. It is worth noting that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed his commitment to completely eradicate Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026.

Recently Naxalites had attacked the soldiers

Recently, the Naxalites tried to indicate their strong hold on the area by killing eight District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans and a driver by detonating a landmine planted five years ago. But in the area of Dandakaranya, where the Naxalites once used to roam freely on motorcycles, by building a weapons manufacturing factory with a lathe machine in the bunker, it has become clear that even the areas of the Naxalites' strongest squad battalion are no longer safe for them. The dreaded Naxal commander Hidma used to be its head.

12 Naxalites were killed last week

Last week, security forces killed 12 Naxalites in an operation here, although later the Naxalites themselves admitted in a press note that 18 Naxalites were killed. A senior officer associated with the Naxal operation said that the recovery of a large number of bodies of Naxalites after the encounter also reflects the weakening condition of their guerrilla army. Earlier, after the encounter, the Naxalites used to run away with the bodies of their killed people, but now they are in a position to do so.

Naxalites are coming on the backfoot

The senior officer said that the effect of stopping the supply of modern weapons is also visible. According to him, after being killed in an encounter, the Naxalites are leaving the bodies but running away with the weapons. According to the senior officer, the biggest proof of the Naxalites being on the backfoot is that for the last one year they have not been able to carry out a single operation against the security forces. All operations are being carried out by the security forces by entering the core areas of the Naxalites, in which a large number of Naxalites are being killed while defending themselves.
