Masik Shivratri fast has great importance in Hinduism. This day is considered a symbol of the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Monthly Shivratri Puja Muhurta (Masik Shivratri 2024 Puja Muhurat)

According to the Hindu calendar, Vijay Muhurat will be from 02:07 pm to 02:48 pm. Then the twilight muhurat will be from 05:31 pm to 05:58 pm. At the same time, Nishita Muhurat will be from 11:56 pm to 12:51 am. Night worship has special importance on this day, so worship only in Nishita Muhurat.

Monthly Shivratri Puja Method (Masik Shivratri Puja Vidhi)

First of all, take a bath and wear red or yellow clothes. Then take a vow of fasting in front of the Shiv family . Spread a red cloth on a stool and place the idol of Shiv-Shakti. Clean the idol with Gangajal. Light a lamp of desi ghee and offer garland of lotus and aak flowers. Make Tripund on the forehead of Shiv Ji with sandalwood and apply kumkum to the Goddess. Offer kheer, puri-halwa, seasonal fruits, sweets, thandai, etc.

Recite Shiv-Shakti Vivah Katha, Panchakshari Stotra and Shiv-Parvati Chalisa. Conclude the Puja with Aarti. Do perform Puja at night on this day, which is evident from its name. Break your fast the next day by offering Shiv Prasad. Stay away from non-vegetarian food and people. Avoid insulting anyone.
