Unidentified assailants riding a bike fired a volley of bullets at a young man named Rao Anuj who was sitting with his colleagues in his private office near Hanuman Temple. Anuj was hit by about five bullets. After committing the crime the attackers fled from the spot. His friends took the injured youth Anuj to Jhajjar Civil Hospital for treatment, but the team of doctors declared him dead.

According to Haryana Police, Anuj and his friends were smoking hookah when the miscreants ambushed them and fired several rounds. According to Haryana Police, Anuj was associated with Kala Jathedi and Naresh Shetty for a long time. Some cases are also registered against him. At present, he works as a property dealer.
