According to astrological calculations, this time Diwali will be celebrated in the country on two days, 31 October and 1 November. The date of the festival is decided from sunrise. Kartik Amavasya is starting on 31 October at 3:52 pm. At the same time, this date will end on 1 November at 5:13 pm. After this, Pratipada date will start.
That means the night-long Amavasya will start from the evening of October 31. Pradosh Kaal is considered the best for Lakshmi Pujan (Diwali 2024 Shubh Muhrat), while there is no rule of Lakshmi Pujan on Pratipada.
