Delhi Second Hottest Day: The heat has started gaining momentum in Delhi in the month of March itself. The heat is showing its strength in the second week of March itself. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Wednesday (March 12) was the second hottest day of this year in Delhi. The mercury was recorded about 4.6 degrees higher than normal.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature in the national capital Delhi was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, which is 4.6 degrees above normal. Tuesday was recorded as the hottest day of the year so far in the capital. During this time, the mercury reached 34.8 degrees Celsius, which is 6.4 degrees above normal. 

Minimum temperature also increased in Delhi

The minimum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday was recorded at 17.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2.1 degrees above normal. The humidity level in the city remained between 77 to 36 percent. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature was 15.7 degrees Celsius while the humidity level in the city remained between 87 to 35 percent. Earlier on Sunday (March 10), the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 32.8 degrees Celsius.

How will the weather be in Delhi on March 13?

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy sky and drizzle at night on Thursday (March 13). The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius respectively. The IMD had earlier forecast strong winds during the day on Wednesday (March 12).

Delhi's AQI remained in the poor category

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) remained in the 'poor' category at 228. Earlier, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) remained at 262, which was recorded in the 'poor' category.
