When asked by a reporter if India is going to pay higher tariffs between 20-25%, US President Donald Trump said, "Yes, I think so. India is a friend of mine. They ended the war with Pakistan at my request... The deal with India is not finalized. India has been a good friend, but India has imposed higher tariffs than basically any other country..."
However, Trump has not sent a letter to India announcing the tariffs imposed on New Delhi, as he did for many other countries. The US has set August 1 as the date for tariffs on India.

This agreement also includes an investment of $ 600 billion by European companies in the US and energy purchases of $ 750 billion in the next three years.
