
News Topical, Digital Desk : The Delhi Cabinet on Tuesday (July 29) approved a new talent search scheme called 'Hauslon Ki Udaan'. The aim of this scheme is to identify and hone talented youth in various creative fields including singing, dancing and pottery making. The scheme was approved in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and the scheme will start from September.
The Chief Minister said that this is the first time that the government is providing such a platform to the youth. He told the media at ITO crossing, “We want the youth of the capital to get a platform to showcase their talent. We will connect the youth with employment opportunities. This is 'Sabki Delhi'.”
Special focus on youth from slums-Kapil Mishra
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had reached ITO to inspect the waterlogging after receiving information about it. Earlier, Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra had said that the government will launch the 'Hauslon Ki Udaan' scheme and the aim of this scheme will be to identify talents with special focus on the youth of unauthorized colonies and slums.

When was the first Talent Hunt competition organized?
Art and Culture Minister Mishra said that under this scheme, talented individuals will be identified in diverse fields like singing, dancing, pottery, sculpture, visual arts, digital arts and theatre. He said, “The competitions will be held over a period of six months and the first event will be held in September. The winners at the state level will also be awarded the 'CM Cup' along with prize money. We will involve artists from various fields to guide the winners of the competition.”
The minister also said that the Department of Art and Culture will be the nodal department for this scheme. He said that this is probably the first time in India that the government is going to launch such a scheme.
