BJP leader G. Devraje Gowda on Friday alleged that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar had offered him Rs 100 crore to defame former Chief Minister and JD(S) president H.D. Gowda, who is currently in jail.

He claimed that DK Shivakumar had offered Rs 100 crore to HD Kumaraswamy to accuse him of leaking the pen drive containing sexual assault videos by Prajwa Ravanna.

According to news agency AIANS, while speaking to media persons from a police vehicle after being sent to judicial custody on Friday, Devaraje Gowda claimed that Shivakumar had sent him Rs 5 crore as advance to room number 110 at the Bowling Club in Bengaluru.

The BJP leader said that I rejected this offer. After my release, I will expose him (DK Shivakumar). The Congress government in Karnataka is about to fall. The BJP leader further claimed that DK Shivakumar wants to tarnish the image of PM Modi.

Devraje Gowda said, "I was asked to give a statement that Kumaraswamy had circulated pen drives containing videos of sexual harassment. Devraje Gowda further claimed, "Gopalaswamy, a local leader from Channarayapatna, was sent to negotiate the deal." Shivakumar offered Rs 100 crore to defame Prime Minister Modi by linking him to sexual harassment.

Devraje Gowda said, "Shivakumar's main aim is to finish off Kumaraswamy politically. He further said, "When I refused to be a part of their plans, they first framed me in a case of atrocities, but no evidence was found. Later they framed me in a case of sexual harassment. When this trick also failed, they filed a case of sexual harassment against me. I was interrogated for four days, but they could not find anything."

The BJP leader claimed, "I have an audio recording of Shivakumar's conversation. I will share the audio recording when I come out of jail, which will lead to the fall of the Congress government."
