CBI has arrested 7 people including 2 IRS officers in bribery case. 50 lakh rupees cash has been recovered from the arrested people. Apart from this, 25 property papers have also been found, whose value is more than 40 crore rupees. Let us tell you that 3 luxury cars have also been seized from them. According to the information received by CBI, these officers used to take bribe from people in the name of getting duty free. 6 accused including 2 IRS officers are public servants. Big CBI raid in Mumbai

Let us inform you that searches were conducted at the official and residential premises of the accused at various places in Mumbai, which resulted in the recovery of 25 immovable property documents etc. Let us inform you that these officials have also been accused that a private person (middleman) is collecting bribes on behalf of the officials of SEEPZ-SEZ. The cash of about Rs 60 lakh collected by him was allegedly kept in his office in the SEEPZ Andheri complex, in envelopes containing the amount of bribe, names of the bribe givers and the names of the officials who gave the bribe.

Several officials arrested, further investigation underway

Along with this, the arrested officials are also accused that the said middleman (private person) had also taken a bribe of Rs 15 lakh from a private person on 12 December 2024, which he allegedly handed over to the accused JDC, who kept Rs 7 lakh with himself and distributed the bribe of Rs 8 lakh among the officials of SEEPZ, out of which Rs 4 lakh was recovered during the search. The CBI said in this regard that further investigation is going on.
