Indian stock markets opened with a decline on Monday after weak signals from Asian markets. Nifty opened at 24087.30, down 60.90 points or 0.25%. Nifty Bank opened at 51562.70. At the same time, Sensex opened at 79298.46, down 187.86 points or 0.24%. Asian Paints opened with a decline of about 9%. Pressure is also being seen in the broader market. Almost all sectoral indices are in the red.
Power Grid, Maruti Suzuki, Britannia Industries, Cipla and HDFC Bank topped the list of Nifty's weakest stocks. During early trading, these stocks saw a gain of 0.15% to 1.20%.
At the same time, Asian Paints topped the list of weak stocks of Nifty. Apart from this, stocks of Shriram Finance, Axis Bank, Hindalco and ONGC were also included. These stocks saw a decline of 1.18% to 7%.
