Whereas on Arunachal East seat, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Tapir Gao won the contest with a margin of 69,948 votes. Here Tapir Gao had defeated Congress candidate Lowangcha Wanglat. Tapir Gao got 1,53,883 votes while Lowangcha Wanglat got 83,935 votes. At present, Congress has not opened its cards here yet.
